CCK08 Collectives and Findability

In the Wednesday October 8, CCK08 Elluminate session, Terry Anderson spoke about collectives as being different from groups and networks. I have always had the idea that there needs to be some mechanism or guide or agent - human or electronic, that would increase the likelihood of finding links or connections to appropriate - relevant, more or less complex related content. Collectives may have some applicability here.

Thanks to Judy Breck, "findability" is a new word in my vocabulary. I have long understood the concept, but I am delighted to discover there is a name for it and an active network of folks working on findability for open educational content.
